Taking a look into the perspective of a person with colour blindness

Colour blindness is often mistaken as to only see things in black and white but here are some of the examples of a person suffering from colourblindness sees things.

How the colour blind sees the traffic light

People with colour blindness can't see the traffic light as we do so how do they know when should they cross the road? This is actually because while color blindness will sometimes effect the ability for people to see the colors of traffic lights, people with this visual impairment know the positioning of traffic lights and are able to understand which signal is lit when they approach the junction.

What is colour blindness?

Colour blindness or colour vision deficiency is the inability or decreased ability to see colour, or perceive color differences, under normal lighting conditions.

There are many different types of colour blindness like:

-Protanomaly (one out of 100 males)

-Deuteranomaly (five out of 100 males)

-Dichromasy - can be divided into protanopia and deuteranopia (two out of 100 males)

-Protanopia (one out of 100 males)

-Deuteranopia (one out of 100 males)

Causes of colourblindness
Most of the people who suffered from colorblindness are due to genetic reasons (inherited)

Who suffered from colourblindness more? The males or the females?
The males, because the common form of colour vision deficiency is encoded on the X-sex chromosome.
